Arrival & Departure

If you have a spa booking with us, we ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled treatment time, this allows plenty of time to complete our consultation form and begin your relaxation experience. If you have any pre-existing medical or physical conditions (including pregnancy) please let one of our members of the team know at the time of booking.

If you have booked a Pamper Package with us your itinerary and confirmation will be sent to you prior to your arrival via email.

Late arrival will mean your treatment time will be cut down and you will be charged the full amount of your booking. Failure to arrive within 30 minutes post your scheduled treatment time will be seen as a cancellation and you will therefore payment of 50% of your booked appointment will be required without receiving your treatment. If you book on a fully pre-payable advanced purchase then these appointment(s) are non-refundable.

The prices and charges shown in the brochure and other communications are subject to change. Exact prices and charges will be confirmed at the time of booking.

The Ficarra’s Spa accepts payments by MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, Cash, Cheque and The Ficarra Spa Gift Vouchers (voucher must be present and valid at the time of check out to be redeemable).

Whilst we do all we can to ensure all treatments and experiences are available, there will be times that some are unavailable. We cannot guarantee the availability of all or any particular treatments and experiences.

Cancellations, No-Shows & Changing Your Booking

Bookings need to be cancelled by calling 01328 863260 – see below for opening hours.

Treatment Bookings

Spa treatment bookings can be cancelled up to 24hours prior to appointment with no cancellation fee. Later cancellations or no-shows will be charged at 50% appointment fee. Non-arrivals will be classed as a cancellation and will therefore be charged at 50% of the appointment booked.

Please note that for advanced purchases for any promotional offers, the full amount is taken at the time of booking. This payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. VAT is included in the displayed rate unless otherwise stated.

Spa Pamper Packages

Spa Pamper Packages and dates may be altered free of charge once provided the change is made at least 7 days prior to arrival, subject to availability.

Late arrival will mean your treatment time will be cut down and you will be charged the full amount of your booking. Failure to arrive within 30 minutes post your scheduled treatment time will be seen as a cancellation and you will therefore lose your £25.00 deposit without receiving your treatment.

Please note that for advanced purchases for any promotional offers, the full amount is taken at the time of booking. This payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. VAT is included in the displayed rate unless otherwise stated.

Packages such as Christmas and New Year along with Weddings and Events will be subject to a different deposit and cancellation terms. These will be confirmed at the time of booking.

Can I purchase a gift voucher and how do I redeem it?

  • Gift vouchers can be purchased either from our webpage or over the phone on 01328 863260, or directly from the spa.
  • Gift cards are valid for 6 months from the time of purchase. After 6 months, any remaining balance will be cancelled. Balance enquiries can be obtained at reception or by calling 01328 863260.
  • The Ficarra’s Spa gift voucher is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card.
  • Gift vouchers can be activated with a minimum value of £5.00 and a maximum of £500.00.
  • When you use your Ficarra’s Spa gift voucher, the amount of your purchase will be deducted from the balance on the gift voucher and. Change will not be given.
  • The Ficarra’s Spa gift voucher is like cash. Lost, stolen or damaged gift cards cannot be replaced. The Ficarra’s Spa gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • The Ficarra’s Spa gift vouchers are only posted to customers within the UK.
  • The Ficarra’s Spa reserves the rights to amend the terms and conditions when they see necessary.

Treatment Advice

  • Clients are advised not to consume alcohol or a heavy meal prior to using The Ficarra’s Spa facilities.
  • Robes will be provided for you to wear when having treatments and for use in the pool area.
  • Glasses and contact lenses must be removed prior to your treatment and use of the pool area.
  • You will be advised to remove all jewellery prior to your treatment.
  • We recommended you do not bring any valuables with you.
  • Please ensure that you inform your therapist if you are too hot / cold, if your position is not comfortable or the therapist’s pressure is not enjoyable. We will endeavour to adjust or change techniques to suit you.
  • Both male and female therapists operate within the spa. Should you have a preference please state this at the time of booking.
  • All treatment times take into account preparation, consultation and relaxation.

Spa and Treatment Advice: Medical Conditions and Health Concerns

Some of the spa experiences and treatments are not suitable for clients with certain medical conditions or health concerns (particularly those involving extremes of temperature). In some cases, we may be able to adjust a treatment to accommodate your circumstances but if you have any of the following medical conditions or health concerns, please consult your GP prior to your visit.

  • Recent Surgery (within the last 3 months)
  • Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
  • Heart or circulatory problems
  • High or low blood pressure
  • Migraines, dizziness or fainting spells
  • Diabetes
  • Epilepsy
  • Conditions which affect your body’s ability to react to heat or to perspire
  • Asthma or any chest conditions likely to be aggravated
  • Taking prescribed drugs which may affect your circulation or ability to react to heat
  • Taking prescribed antihistamines, anticoagulants, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants or tranquillisers

If you have had radiotherapy or chemotherapy in the past 2 years or are currently undergoing treatment for cancer, we will require written evidence from your GP or Specialist Consultant that you are able to enjoy our facilities and, if you have a specific treatment in mind, that you are able to participate.

Many of the Spa Experiences and Treatments are not suitable for guests who are pregnant but we have a specially designed treatment for expectant mothers and if you talk to one of our team, we can advise you on how best to make the most of your visit with us.

The list above is not exhaustive and if you are in any doubt, please call 01328 863260 prior to booking if you are currently receiving any medical treatment which you feel may affect your enjoyment of our facilities.

Please be aware of the possible side effects following treatments/spa experience which may include drowsiness, excessive thirst and possible minor reactions to essential oils.

We recommend that you enjoy a period of rest and relaxation following your treatments / spa experience and that you drink plenty of clear fluids. In the unlikely event that you experience any allergic skin reaction please consult your local doctor.

General Advice

Any assistance you require or concerns should be brought to our attention immediately to a member of staff or manager on duty.

Please note that we are not responsible for any matter of which you were aware and which you did not bring to our attention during your visit.

Any reported matter which has not been resolved during your visit should be advised in writing to 61 Greenway Lane, Fakenham, Norfolk, NR21 8ES within 28 days of the end of your visit. In such cases we will only correspond with the person named on the booking.


Spa Etiquette

To maintain a sense of calm, we ask that you do not use your mobile phone, MP3 player, camera or E-Cigarette anywhere in the Spa and Pool area.

We love seeing guests enjoying themselves, however if you are visiting with a group of friends, please be respectful of noise levels. Please respect the peace of others and use a calm quiet ‘Spa Voice’ at all times.

The Ficarra’s Spa will provide robes for you to wear within the treatment area. During treatments gentlemen must wear swimming trunks and shorts and ladies either briefs or swimsuits. Paper briefs are available for use during body wraps and other treatments.


Age Restrictions: Do you allow children in the spa?

The Ficarra’s Spa welcome families and younger guests.

Children aged 16 and under are welcome to the spa, however must be accompanied by an adult as well as a letter on consent, signed by the parent or guardian. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied in the treatment room by an adult.

Children aged 16 and under are welcome to use the swimming pool as long as they are accompanied by an adult. For health and safety reasons children are unable to use the Sauna and Hot Tub.


Does your spa cater for disabled guests?

The Ficarra’s Spa is specially designed to comply with the requirements of our disabled guests. We have a spacious treatment room set downstairs with extra wide door frames, we also have an extra wide staircase for those whom are able to use the stairs. A ramp is accessible from the front of the property.  If you have any special requirements please inform us at the time of booking.

Pool Bookings:

Swimwear Advice

Guests are required to wear swimwear within all areas of pool area. Towel robes will be provided if you have a Pamper Package booking after your swimming session.

Pool Session Accessibility Advice

Please be aware that there may be restricted access for those with limited mobility for certain areas around the pool and its facilities. The Sauna and Hot Tub involve exposure to above ambient temperatures and there may be surfaces within them that are hot which may pose a risk to those who cannot sense changes in the surface temperature. If you have a disability or any particular care requirements, please seek advice at the time of booking and/on entry to the pool area to allow us to help you get the most out of your session safely.

You may choose to register on our Site. If you do, you will have a username and password for your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, username and/or password. You agree to provide only accurate, truthful information.


We have adopted reasonable security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the personal information under our control. The technology used in collection of personal information protects credit card data during transmission; we do not hold this information on our system. Nevertheless, we cannot guarantee complete security of personal information.
